A perfect spring day is what we had for the annual Heartkids Sydney Garden tour last week.

Thank you to the organisers Peter Knox, his family and the crew from Alpine Nurseries this was another memorable tour.

Six private homes open their gates and allowed us to weave leisurely through their gardens to explore and take photos, these were some of the finest gardens in Sydney.

A collection of our garden tour snapshots for you to peruse;

Garden 1: Cheltenham

Garden 2:  Mindaribba 1896, Beecroft

Garden 3: Lynwood 1907, Beecroft

Mt Spurgeon Black Pine - Prumnopitys ladeii (below)

Pictured above; On tour we stumbled upon this stunning foliage plant but had most of our team curious of it's species. This is a slow growing ancient looking plant. It is highly ornamental and handles full sun from an early age. Prefers good drainage. Size 4 to 8m

Garden 4: Killara

Garden 5: Killara

Garden 6: Terrey Hills
